—-STREET ART.

The arts who come from one city, grow up in the city, they have the voice like what the city has. Such as: Slinkachu (London), Evol (Berlin), Roa (Ghent), Conor Harrington (Cork), Joh Bargeman (New York)…they doing graffiti art in every city all over the world to express themselves and one city culture. Meanwhile, street artists through their artworks to question the existing environment with its own language. One graphic artist JAKe, he record these contemporary artists’ artwork and express his insider’s view of contemporary street art and graffiti worldwide, in his book: The Mammoth Book of Street Art. JAKe indicates that,”street art, born in part of a desire to subvert the restrictive ‘rules’ of graffiti, has been transforming cityscapes for some time now, with street logos taking the place of tags, a proliferation of stickers and, more recently, the emergence of 3D pieces – from German artist Evol’s mini pre – fab tower blocks to Slinkachu’s ‘abandoned little people’”. In his book, there reports of street art’s death have been greatly exaggerated. There are a number of well-known names, as the above has mentioned, but hopefully also a few artists you may won’t have heard of yet, along with representatives of a younger generation.
